Last month Boo Milton of @curewithlove_ asked if I’d hop on an idea he had to provide free headshots for the community through a micro-grant he received from @dropdeadgenerous, a UK-based organization that encourages small acts of kindness in hopes that people will pay it forward. This sounded like such a great idea so of course I was on board! Together we provided free professional headshots at the EBRPL River Center Branch Library to people who have never had them before, as well as small business owners and community elders in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA.

I’ve always loved ironic glamour portraits- especially when the people in them are totally game to go all in! I met Jesse, Thomas, and Nick through different creative circles over the years. All three are talented graphic designers and creative professionals, so when Jesse was visiting from out of town and suggested we do some JCPenney-style glamour shots in my studio, I was immediately on board!

I have yet to see Chappell Roan live yet, but I LOVE her artistry and everything about her aesthetic! When I had the opportunity to do a collab shoot with MUA Ashley Stephens, hairstylist Kasey Smith, and model Harlee Brianna, I was like heck yeah! I knew this would be a great opportunity for me to play with different lighting and creative techniques.

Earlier this summer, I met Christotes, a student from Grambling, while photographing an event in Baton Rouge. He mentioned he was interested in getting into modeling and asked me how to get started.

I have had the opportunity to work with Kyle Hart, an up and coming model in Baton Rouge, a few times recently- here are some fave shots from a day we experimented with lighting and shutter drags in the studio!
