GLAMOUR SHOTS | SILLY STUDIO PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

I’ve always loved ironic glamour portraits- especially when the people in them are totally game to go all in! I met Jesse Taylor, Thomas Wimberly and Nick Miner through different creative circles over the years. All three are talented graphic designers and creative professionals, so when Jesse was visiting from out of town and suggested we do some JCPenney-style glamour shots in my studio, I was immediately on board!!

Coincidentally, I was in the middle of planning my next Creative Portrait Series date (not quite launched yet, but coming soon!). This one will have a holiday twist, so I’m still working on getting the backdrop and promo shots ready…stay tuned.

I love that these guys are friends enough to get goofy together and fully trust me to play with the concept. We even kept the backdrop wrinkled and let the edges of the vinyl floor and lighting peek through to really lean into that cheesy, tacky vibe.

BONUS! Jesse designed me my own JNHefler logo, inspired by the iconic JCPenney logo!
