SPEAKEAZY / G-EAZY X STILLHOUSE

Last week I was asked by Swim Social, a social media agency out of Los Angeles, to come out and photograph an event for one of their clients, Stillhouse. Turns out that Stillhouse and G-Eazy were throwing a little private party at Republic in New Orleans to announce their new partnership! After looking up Stillhouse and realizing they had some of the coolest branding (I'm all about that retro look) and knowing that the past two times that I'd photographed G-Eazy resulted in awesome photos, I knew whatever they had going on was going to be a good time.

The night was dubbed "Speakeazy" for obvious reasons, and I must say all parties involved put on an amazing event. A speakeasy is historically known as an "illicit establishment that sells alcoholic beverages" and is also known as a "blind tiger." Stillhouse really outdid themselves with this night in terms of paying attention to details in their decorating, and New Orleans was the perfect backdrop for such a party. Since G-Eazy went to college in NOLA, there was no shortage of RSVP's, so naturally the event was packed. Complete with a brass band and having the venue converted into using the backdoor entrance, Republic could have been an actual speakeasy from back in the day on this night. The experiential aspect of this event was incredible.

G-Eazy arrived in style with an entire entourage and even had his own little area upstairs with some private barbers onsite to get his haircut. He went on stage to give a toast, but it turned into a full fledged concert with him unveiling new songs from his upcoming album. Obviously the crowd was wild! Whiskey + Gerald = a good freaking time.

If you haven't tried Stillhouse yet, I can completely vouch for how good it tastes. You can read more about the partnership here on Billboard, and see some of my shots from the night below!
