DOWNS FAMILY MILITARY HOMECOMING

WOW this happened almost a year ago and I had full intentions on blogging about it- I honestly thought I already did! I am in the middle of redoing my website and came across this session and can’t believe I never shared them.

I had an incredible opportunity to document a military homecoming for the Downs family. Patrick Downs is part of the LA National Guard's Task Force Ramrod that arrived home after a year deployment in Iraq, and getting to photograph his family reunion (and some of the families around us) was so special. Everyone got to watch the plane land and as soon as the soldiers got off and were dismissed, people just started running towards each other. DEFINITELY one of the most heartwarming things I’ve ever gotten to document!
