A few weeks ago I was asked to photograph a movie screening for Refinery29 in New Orleans- I had no idea what movie it was for until about the day of, and was super excited to find out it was the premiere for one of Netflix’s newest films, Bird Box, starring Sandra Bullock and Sarah Paulson. I’ve been aware of Refinery29 for some time now as a women’s media site and was very excited to find out that they were hosting the screening, much less in New Orleans!

The event included exclusive access to seeing the movie a week before the release date, a sensory tunnel with branded Bird Box blindfolds, multiple photo ops, and free food and drink. There were probably about 100 locals that were invited to the screening at the Broad Theatre in NOLA, along with some really prominent influencers (um hello Brandi Cyrus??) None of the actresses or actors were there, but all in all it seemed to be an amazing turnout with lots of positive reviews about the movie. I am flattered to have been asked to provide photography for the night, and you can see my favorite moments below!
