4th of July Fireworks / by Jordan Hefler

I have been slacking on some of my blogging recently! I've been SUPA DUPA busy with moving out of my old place and into a temporary place and now into a (hopefully) more permanent place! I also got in a car wreck the day before I went on a week long road trip sooo life has been crazy!

Since I've been caught up in life's casualties, I also haven't really had much time to make any personal work or photograph just for the heck of it. Lately I've been so driven by work for my clients (please don't stop keeping me busy, I could always use the business) that I haven't just taken my camera out and shot the world around me. Well, except for on Instagram, but that's a different story. I was so excited to bring my camera and tripod out to the Mississippi River levee here in downtown Baton Rouge for the 4th of July to do some long exposure shots of the fireworks. If you didn't already know, long exposure work is like my absolute favorite thing to do. You really get to see the magic of light and time at play, which is pretty much the basis of photography anyways.

SO ANYWAYS, here are some shots from the night that I think came out really awesome if I do say so myself! I hope to be on here more... soon..

XOXO JORDAN
